CEC of USA is committed to providing a professional and safe environment for all exhibitors and attendees. To ensure a smooth and successful event, please review the following:
Parking
- All exhibitor vehicles require a parking pass displayed clearly.
- Designated parking is available in the South lot of Elite Sportsplex (opposite the front doors).
- Fire lanes, exits, islands, and non-paved areas are strictly off-limits for parking. Violators risk towing at their own expense.
- Overnight parking requires prior authorization.
- During exhibit days, exhibitors must use the South parking lot.
Exhibitor Entrance and Exit
- Move-in is permitted only during designated times and through designated areas. No move-in during show hours.
- Attendee parking is on the North side of the lot.
Vehicle Washing
- In bad weather, vehicles require hosing down before entering the facility.
Inspections
- CEC reserves the right to inspect packages and containers brought in or out of the facility.
Alcohol and Smoking
- Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
- Our facility is non-smoking. Designated smoking areas are available outside. Fire code prohibits propping open doors.
Signage and Tape
- Only authorized personnel can hang signs and banners. Adhering anything directly to walls or columns is not permitted.
- Specific, approved tape is required on floors. Duct tape, double-sided plastic tape, and masking tape are strictly prohibited. Cloth-backed carpet tape is allowed and available for purchase at the service desk.
- Exhibitors are liable for any facility damage caused by unauthorized adhesive substances, with a minimum repair fee of $250. A licensed third party will assess and complete any repairs, and the exhibitor will be charged the final cost.
Flammability
- Flammable advertising/decorating materials require prior flame-retardant treatment and must comply with all fire safety regulations.
- Flammable liquids and gases are prohibited without written consent from Elite Sportsplex.
Helium
- Helium tanks are not allowed inside the building.
- Exhibitors with prior approval can have helium balloons for their booth but cannot distribute them to attendees. A retrieval fee of $35 per balloon applies.
Display Vehicles
- Vehicles within booths must have:
- Disconnected battery
- Less than 1/8 tank of gas
- Locked or taped gas cap
Electrical Safety
- No electrical cords are allowed on the floor in foot traffic areas or under carpets.
- Only grounded, three-pronged cords in good condition are permitted.
- Multi-plug situations require fusible cord strips. Cube taps are prohibited.
- Displays using water must have a G.F.I. outlet.
Emergency Equipment
- Emergency equipment, entrances, and exits must remain unobstructed at all times.
Food Service
- Food samples require proper licensing from the Oakland County Health Department.
- Selling food items requires prior approval from Elite Sportsplex.
